Since June, frequent heatwaves in northern China have heated up the peak season for air conditioners. Compared to previous years, this year's peak season coincides with the implementation of new appliance replacement subsidy policies, intensifying price wars in the air conditioning market. The broader context shows that while industry sentiment remained high and factory shipments were strong from January to May, terminal market demand remained sluggish.
Facing such complex industry conditions, how should air conditioning brands respond to challenges, capture market share, and seize opportunities? As a genuine newcomer in the air conditioning industry, how can emerging brands like Yingliang establish themselves amidst intense competition and industry reshuffles?

Surge in Shipments
Flexible Adjustment of Production Structure and Pricing
From its inception, Yingliang Air Conditioning has carefully considered its strengths and the competitive market environment, focusing on OEM business and building a high-quality air conditioning production base. Since commencing production last November, Yingliang is now experiencing its first peak season.

"Currently, due to the hot weather, our company's shipments have surged significantly. We've gradually adjusted our production plans to meet market demand and shorten delivery cycles as much as possible. We're prioritizing shipments for e-commerce and OEM clients while working overtime to fulfill both international and domestic orders," said Hu Liangsheng, General Manager of Yingliang Technology.
The sudden increase in shipment demand presents a challenge for Yingliang's first peak season. In terms of hardware, Yingliang integrates R&D, complete unit production, component manufacturing, sales, and after-sales service. At full capacity, it can produce 1.5 million smart air conditioners and components annually. Currently, three production lines are operational with a daily output of 6,000 units. Therefore, rationally adjusting production schedules and ensuring delivery cycles have become top priorities.
Hu Liangsheng added: "Current market demand mainly focuses on energy-efficient and environmentally friendly models, with consumers showing strong preference for high-efficiency products." This aligns perfectly with Yingliang's initial positioning in the mid-to-high-end product segment.

Therefore, while maintaining high quality standards, Yingliang has flexibly adjusted its product mix and pricing to meet diverse customer needs. Hu revealed: "We offer varied pricing options based on different models' configurations and performance, providing customized solutions for distributors to serve different consumer groups. Currently, discounted fixed-speed and inverter models account for most shipments, with 1.5P units making up about two-thirds and 1P units about one-third."
Stay Focused and Keep Working Hard
Deepening Smart Product Development
The air conditioning industry is already highly competitive, having entered an era of stock competition. However, new opportunities and segments emerge every year, leaving room for growth even in this changing environment.
This year's heatwaves have stimulated air conditioning demand, alleviating some industry pressures. "The hot season has increased market demand, helping relieve the sluggish conditions of previous months. While production and delivery pressures have grown recently, we must still closely monitor industry trends and economic conditions to optimize inventory structure and control stock levels."

Temporary demand spikes cannot solve the industry's long-term challenges. Facing shifting industry and market cycles, manufacturers must return to fundamentals - making quality products and improving services - which are key to sustainable long-term development.
Regarding this, Hu Liangsheng stated: "Every trade has its master. There are no industries that can't be done, nor industries that last forever. Every industry requires focus and dedication. I believe the air conditioning industry will maintain steady growth, especially for energy-efficient and environmentally friendly products."
Optimistic about the industry's future and fully considering competition, Yingliang is deepening smart product development. According to Hu: "In August, we'll launch 3-5 new smart air conditioner models while continuously improving service quality to maintain our competitive edge."
Yingliang focuses on product development closely aligned with market demand, laying the foundation for market expansion. For a new brand, diversifying business units and broadening channels are essential for scaling up.
Therefore, Yingliang will simultaneously strengthen e-commerce, international trade, and OEM business. Hu emphasized: "E-commerce and foreign trade remain our focus areas, including R&D direction, equipment and personnel investments. We'll deepen cooperation with quality OEM clients while slightly increasing their numbers. Through enhanced marketing and expanded sales networks, we aim to boost brand influence and market share. Meanwhile, optimizing product mixes and service experiences will improve customer satisfaction and loyalty for sustainable profit growth."
As competition and industry ecosystems undergo profound changes, companies must actively embrace transformation. For Yingliang, 2024 marks its first peak season and first year facing market challenges. By focusing on product R&D and quality as breakthrough strategies, coupled with effective marketing, Yingliang aims to build a virtuous cycle between products and markets, continually exploring new heights for the company.
